As part of the In-Kind Facilities and Services benefit in the West Harlem Community Benefits Agreement, the West Harlem Development Corporation (WHDC) is able to use part of its "In-Kind" fund to request the use of Columbia University space on behalf of local community groups. Must be located in Manhattan Community District 9. Applications due December 2nd.

Undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students are actively using the robust collections from the Rare Book & Manuscript Library. Acquiring this information they are able to see how easy scholars have used and misused historical records. Students feel empowered to produce innovative scholarships, conduct research and examine African American life in U.S. society.

Learners of all ages are welcome to join scientists in a time of exploration, play and hands-on learning activities using unique scientific resources to learn about the brain and memory. This event is free and open to the public. Tickets are limited, so please only register if you plan on attending.

Lenfest Kids celebrates Columbia’s Year of Water with a series of aquatic-themed family films. Lenfest Kids: H20 explores the world’s oceans as a space of adventure, fantasy, wonder and mystery. Saturday, Nov 16, “Finding Dory” will be screened at 11am and 3pm. Tickets are $7 in advance or $9 at the door.

Join us as the holiday lights are turned on for Manhattanville Lights and Bites. From 4:30-5PM - join us in the small square as we celebrate the lighting of the trees. Then from 5-7PM - join us in The Forum where graduates of the SBDC Harlem Local Vendor Program provide bite size samples of their delicious offerings.

The 125th Street Business Improvement District will be celebrating their annual holiday lights festival, celebrating Harlem culture and the start of the holiday season. This family friendly event is free and open to the public, come and enjoy a parade of lights, contests, games, a children's village and more.
